2002 Spyderco Forum Tee Shirts Brainstorm

#1

Post by panguero »

Just thought I'd stirr the minds with this concept. If these shirts were possible to somehow get made, what are some shirt design concepts y'all? For example, I'd like long sleeve black or hunter green with the Factory Logo on the front pocket area and then Spyderco Forum "stuff" on the back. Perhaps a world map with stars showing all the forum participant's countries or something cool. Could the forumites "Shirt Committee" issue such a shirt with consent of Sal and Carlos? Anyone in Spyderland own a shirt shop? Can anyone run a Silk Screen?

Who should be elected Committee chairman. Not me, I am just the conceptualizer.....

Interesting thoughts there, bro. I can see your dream for a forum-designed shirt that would be availible for all the Spydie-loving formites.
Just an idea: I am a college student and I perfer regular 'T-shirt' style shirts that have, say, a logo of some sort on the front and/or back. Just like a university when they take a t-shirt and put their name on it. I would love to have a shirt like this with a large Spyderco 'bug' on the front in a royal blue and outlined in yellow. Then on the back, the name Spyderco in the special 'font' that they use. [For more dressy escapades, I think the long-sleeve idea would be nice too. ] I also wouldn't mind a khaki 'ball' cap that had a black 'bug on it.....

**Looking off into space, wistfully**

Anyway, sign me up!

I'm still hoping for a nice spydie polo. You,know black or navy with a gold spydie bug and "spyderco" on it.

I'd love a Forum t-shirt!

And you all know how much I've been complaining about wanting a Spyderco Polo Shirt...

I'm with Spydernut. A khaki baseball cap with a Spyder logo on the front. No words, just the logo, with "spyderco" just above the leather band in back.

I support this shirt movement.

*supporting*

Blue and gold logo are my ideal colours for this.

Good idea... sign me up. A good quality t-shirt with logo/etc. on front and back. Any color is fine. But, please... make it in XXL or I'll need my Spydie to cut me out of the XL... lol.

I've already got a Spyderco t-shirt and baseball hat, I sure wouldn't mind a Polo shirt to add. Or even another t-shirt - With a small Spyderco/Bug logo on the front and with a large printed design on the back, say similar to the graphic on the large white box showing the outline of the Delica blade, round hole, bug and Spyderco name with the footnote 'Knives & Accessories, Golden, Colorado, U.S.A.? Sounds cool to me!

Polo Shirt! That's excellent! Hey, whatabout a gold bug pin? The ones which most Spydecrew carry on their suits? Hmmm.. A limited-ed Spydepack sounds good as an official forum bag.. Think it'll cost a bit to have a forum-kit, but its well worth it!

Samo- For a real knife bag, talk to Clay. He'll know what I mean.

I'll stand with the T-shirt crowd. Large Spyder front, black Spyderco on back, maybe a globe with each nation of origin highlighted. There have to be at least 40 here!

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

You agree on a design. Then we see if there is enough interest to make the minimum. A decent T has got to run $16 - $20 depending on screening/embroidery.

Count me in for three! How about the picture of all the discontinued models on it?

Considering that Spyderco is a technojunkies company, how about a technical shirt?

A dark blue "Coolmax" t-shirt with a small gold embroidered bug on the front. Something that you could actually use a inner layer when hiking or mountain climbing, or just casually like an ordinary t-shirt at work or around the house.

im in! how about a patriotic design...maybe the military, police and rescue models on the front with something like...spyderco...serving america and the world since 1981 or 1982...whichever year is right. and on the back a big red white and blue embossed spydie bug and flags for all the countries represented in the forum and anywhere else spydercos considerable reach extends to..

" we chased our pleasures here...dug our treasures there...can you still recall how we cried...break on through to the other side" - the doors

I think the front cover of the 2002 Spyderco catalog is one of the coolest designs I have seen in a long time.
100% Spyderco, without screaming "Knife nut(er)".
The two Spyderco slogans I would like to see on there are "High performance matter seperators" and "All Gods critters have knives".

"Walk softly, but carry a big stick."
