Drool. I would buy this. ****, I would buy that for $150 dollars.

You're pretty talented with photo editing, thanks for the renderings. Haha, glad you like CLB or those wouldn't exist.

it really is a clever thing, isnt it!

Seeing the g10 rendered, serrated blade.. add a ball lock ala dodo to that .... wow.

I use SolidWorks for modeling and HyperShot for rendering. HS is pretty new and still has some issues but for this kind of tasks its the best. You can't imagine how easy it is. Try their demo, you'll be impressed.

I have seen the insides of several of these Lavas sent to me for various things by customers and there are many much bigger knives on the market rated higher that don't have as good a lock up as this one does. Most of the Lavas I've seen have surprised me at the amount of contact and depth the lock bar connects compared to other knives of the same size especially. You can see these in the shots I have taken and posted on my forum when I've had them apart showing progress pics. They are great little folders. If they are being discontinued I need to get two or three of them then.

I think a H1 FRN Lava would fill two voids in the spyderco lineup.

There are currently no little big knives in the SALT series and the people who would like a lightweight handle on a Lava.

I think this knife would be a bigger hit than the Boker Subcom, if it was priced right.
