In the new save & serve 2008 products guide there are black bladed (black titanium carbonitride coated) delica 4 & endura 4 in plain & part serrated .
They sure look sharp! (pun intended! LOL!)
Anyone know when the will be released?
Any info appreciated!

Hi everyone,

Reviving an old thread. Will the black-bladed Delica be available? I see some on ebay but wasn't sure if this was a regular release or something special. I assume they would be on the same collector-club delay as the other stuff that is still out there? Thanks for the info,

Rob,
They are coming. Initially we had planned for those to only be available in the SAS catalog. The demand was so great we decided to make them part of the stock line, they'll be in the 2009 PDR. Production is being ramped up, but in the meantime, we have limited stock. Don't take it personally, but until we catch up to demand, the Military and LEOs have a priority since it was initially intended just for them.

I can promise you (since that's my side of the Spyderco "world") the folks I work with appreciate it.

You'll start seeing them in the normal distribution chain soon. Hang in there.

Kristi,

Thanks so much for the update. I can certainly wait a bit and it's good to know that we'll all get a shot at them in the coming months. One more question: will they have a white or silver spyderco logo on them, or just plain jane?

Nice pics, Tony. Sure would look cool if they did have a white spyderbug on there, though...
