Questions about the Baby Jess Horn SS

#1

Post by griff76 »

I was just wondering if anybody knew how many of these were made? Also how much was the original MSRP? Am I correct that these were only sold through A.G. Russell? I scored one on the bay not too long ago and was wondering how I did. Sweet little knife.

Not sure of how many were made, but probably at least a full run of 1200. Not sure of the price either. Asked those questions quite a while back on the Russell forum on KnifeForums, never got an answer. As for AG Russell being the sole seller, yes and no. All the "Baby" Horns, as well as the full size white and burgundy micarta ones, were made exclusively for AG Russell and sold "almost" exclusively by them. The exception to that would have been the CC#d ones for "all variation" collectors, which would have been sent to each collector's regular dealer.

A.G. Russell sold it for USD 49,95; knife was discribed as AGSP-2SS Jess Horn Stainless Steel :)
I'll send you PM with detailed information (I'm not sure if it's allowed to post it here).

Thanks you very much for the info fellas! Much appreciated. Here's a few pics of the knife. This little thing is tight, superb fit and finish.

It is a bit precarious, but there is a sweet spot on that rock made to hold Spyderco's. The Horn has been carried, but is in excellent condition. I like getting the slightly used knives so I'm not afraid to carry them or take pictures outside.
