New idea. Most of us Canadians are a content and relaxed kind of people right? We don't mind waiting for stuff, right? (for example, driving 12 hours to go visit your relatives, waiting six months for the snow to melt, or hoping for the past 25 years that the Stanley Cup would return to the great true north).
What about having the meet in a different location each year? I would rather wait five years and be reasonably sure I will be able to make it to at least one meet every decade, rather than picking a single location I will never go to.

Didn't the Habs win in 1993?

Ya, the Canadiens won the 92/93 Stanley Cup.

A Spyderco meet in Toronto would be fine with me... I don't necessarily like the city, but it's nearby.
As for their hockey team - can't stand the Leafs!

Obviously since Canada is such a big country it makes sense to have it in the geographical middle. I believe Saskatoon was mentioned. I may be predisposed living in Prince Albert(less than 100 miles) though.
I liked the idea of having a few in a different places ,one a year. Even the GTA and Banff might be close enough for most people.

Canada is a very big country. I imagine if a location could be selected and there is enough interest, and I can squeeze it into a very aggressive traveling schedule, it's possible.

Now the rest is up to the Canadian Forumites and hopefully we can pick a location which is beneficial to the majority of us and make this visit an yearly thing.
