Made in?
I'm new to the whole spyderco game,in fact I just got my first to day and I love it.From looking at the pics here (and there are many great ones)I see some are made in the USA and some in Japan.Where else are they made and is there any difference in the knives that come from differen't places?
thanks
John

John,
If you search in the forums or in older catalogs you will find different production locations over the years (US, Japan, Taiwan, Sitzerland, Germany, Italy, China). Differences in the knives are mostly the used blade steel - beside a totally different SKU of course
You are "rookie", for a very good overview I recommend you a look in two great links (it's the good work of a forum member here, his name is Ted):

welcome to the forums John :) the few Spydercos I have from Taiwan like a Black CE Salsa, and the silver "S" are made/constructed as well as the Japanese/Golden made ones.... the Tenacious I haven't tried yet but i'm planning on getting one. Seems to me that if the :spyder: logo is on a product, it's usually well made

Welcome, John! I only have Seki (-City, Japan) and Golden (Colorado) Spydies and will say that they both reek of quality. The Manix, Mini Manix, and Street Beat especially.
