Man it's nice to see what everyone does. ya kinda sit in front of the computer reading the messages and don't really sink in that there are people with actual lives here.

I'm a Specialist in the ARMY. I'm stationed at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu Hawaii. I fix the equipment in the hospital like the x-rays and vital signs monitors and stuff like that. I will be here until August 2003 when i'll get out with 7 years of service and experience. Uh sorry if this sounds like a resume but if anyone wants to hire me then to fix equipment (SFO has to have equipment that needs fixing right<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle> I'll be available. i've thought about moving to New Zealand or Colorado Springs not sure where i'll end up.

I'm a pilot. We can't carry a 3" knife to work anymore, but maybe handguns soon.
Makes perfect sence to me.

It's great to see the tremendous diversity among Spyderco customers.

I integrate weapon systems for cruisers and destroyers for the U.S. Navy (and under the Navy's Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program, Spain, Japan and Norway).

I'm also an Endowment grade member of the NRA.

One way or the other, you pay for your tools!

I'm a Senior Professor in a Computer Information Systems department at a college in Central Ohio.
I appreciate the elegance and utility of Spyderco designs, but am mainly interested in the smaller profile models for obvious reasons.
I'm very impressed with the sense of community on this forum and the speedy feedback on the part of the Spyderco staff--especially from Sal. Keep up the good work!

This is great - so many people have chimed in that I may as well add what I can...

I am a political and security advisor in Kosovo. As part of that job I train security personel in defensive tactics. The majority of my time I spend doing things that I can't get into here - but they are often fun and just as often not so much fun...

It's great to hear what so many people are up to in this wide world and to see everyone come together over such a worthy common interest.

Fire Protection Consultant.

Mostly I test and repair fire suppression systems, the ones protecting the important/expensive/delicate stuff.

For example:

My company designed and installed the fire and smoke detection system which currently protects the ORIGINAL Star-Spangled Banner at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C... Pretty cool, huh?
