the line in the middle of the blade that runs all the way to just below the tip. On the serrated version which this is, and mine is, on the other side of this version this line runs all the way out to the black of the blade edge. So it seem sto me that right where that line of material is on the back of the balde that it is thicker there, not as nice as the other serrated spydies.

Sharp1...
Yeah its a bit heavy for comfortable carry around the neck. I don't use these. I keep saying I'm gonna make one into a user, butt can't make up my mind which. If I ever break down I'd slip some paracord over the chain where it rides the neck. Actually it's lightning quick deploying the Native from this sheath by pinching the hole and pulling briskly, it flies open and to the ready.

I only have necksheaths for the Military(came with a trade) and the gray Matriarch(special issue matching gray) and this limited issue Native one. I have been thinking of a neck knife lately; have to try the new Glesser/Perrin maybe. The idea is appealing, butt accessibility under/over clothes, comfort, concealed carry issues, primary/backup, utility/defense??? Lots of questions to think of.

And so many other knives out there. ><g>

Chinook,
The paracord idea is a great one! That should help alot. The clothing issue is a biggie for me too. Over the shirt/under jacket? Under the shirt and rip the buttons off to get at it quick? I have carried a Delta Dart many times when on travel-under a tee shirt in fact (yes-right on to the aircraft), but I sure wouldn't do it now days (see the uh oh post in the Tech Heads section).

I ordered a sheath for a Mouse. Not a tactical, but better than bare teeth and fingernails in a L&D situation, and easy to conceal.Strong little knife too.
That AG Russel D2 Talon with sheath is a beauty and slim and full sized and unique.

I too await the Spydie Neck Knife.....

Scolby, in my quest for the rare Blue Native, I found out that Bladeart already sold yours. I did score a serrated Blue Native from them, though!

I also found a serrated CF Cricket too. Both should be here tomorrow.

Thank you Vince @ BladeArt!

AHA! I knew it was you!!

Actually, I took a guess and I was right. That's ok. I wanted a serrated one.

Lsaulog, where did you get the CF Cricket?
I just sold my Tufram Cricket because I really prefer the CF Cricket.

I picked up the last one at bladeart.com. You may want to check with Vince @ BladeArt. He may be able to get another one. Just tell him I sent ya!

Pray tell, what didn't you like about the Trufram Cricket?

I prefer the carbon fiber material over metal, generally. Also, the aluminum scales were simply too thick. (For me, same with Toad, Mouse, etc.)

Also, I came to the conclusion that for my knives, the cricket made more sense to carry as a serrated edge rather than plain edge, since virtually all my knives are plain edge. The Tufram cricket was plain edge.

Just got my BF serrated Blue Native and CF Cricket! Both very nice, and very sharp! I didn't know that the Blue Native also has a blue clip. It's a cool look. Thanks again to Vince @ Bladeart!

Thanks for the input Scolby. I'll try handling one before I commit.

Well, now that I've officially "broken the bank", I think I'll wait awhile before I set my sights on a Meerkat, Cricket or Dragonfly. Although a certain Patriotic Q would be nice...

Sharp1,

Just asked a dealer about blue Native P/E, he said they had none (0) He said blue P/E was made for Blade magazine, pretty rare. He has root beer with pearl inlay S/E Natives, and blue with pearl inlay P/E Natives. I noticed in your pix you had one with pearl inlay, unsure on color though. His price is 86.00, if interested contact me. Also checked on blue Centofante someone else was looking for that one, did'nt have that either. 0 for 2... still trying

Hoosierdaddy,
Thanks. Found one at Bladeart thanks to Scolby's tip. I do have the other two inlays you mentioned.

Lsaulog,
I received the HK "Q" today. Neat knife.

Still interested in blades with #103(V)
