well it came in the mail today. those **** holidays slowing down my mail..lol. i have wanted one for awhile but the price was just way to high for me. I started seriosly looking for one a few weeks ago, got beat out by Felly on 1. Whats that saying all good things come to those who wait. well here she is, Number 1444. This one will hold a very special place in my collection. Do you guys keep the knife in the wooden box or in the cardboard one. it will be tucked away, any special hints on keeping it pristine. i have heard that the skyline is prone to discoloring...do you put a wax on it? thanks.

Congrats Tony,I know you've been wanting one of those for a long time,me too!I've got no tips for it's care, but I'm sure it will be kept pristine in your possession.Like most people,I remember every day and I think that knife was a wonderful gesture by Spyderco.....Enjoy that special piece.

congrats Tony! I thought you'd snag that one up on the bay. That seemed like a really sweet deal.

There just nothing quite like finding your "grail"! Now you'll have to pick a new one to go after. :) Congrats, Tony, on your acquisition. Knowing that you got it makes me glad that I decided not to go after it. You'll appreciate it much more!

Just noticed that apparently the knife was previously owned by another Spyderco Forumite (Worker #9). His "signature line" says: "WTC 1444"

Nice Congrats! The inlay is prone to rust, despite the rust inhibiting treatment. I'd suggest a coat of oil or petroleum jelly.
