attn. all boogy men... stay away!!!
if any booger man comes into my room @ night, he's got a BIG suprise! I sleep w/ my merlin and my gerber ax... any one else have my issues? if so, tell me about your slumber pointy. (this doesn't include wives, boyfriends, or any other scary thing that may sleep w/ you.) by the way,
Lol, wiley sharp!
Wow, a Merlin AND an ax? Definitely a scary thought!
As far as knives at my bedside, I keep my SS Police, FRN Native, and FRN Endura on my nightstand. All serrated, of course. These are my usual everyday carries (EDCs). I simply empty out my pockets and put just about everything on my nightstand.
As far as anything else, there's my trusty H&K Compact .40 sitting next to my SureFire 9Z flashlight, my Glock 17 in my nightstand, and, in case of bear, my Winchester Defender 1300 shotgun with 3" magnum slugs, underneath the matress.
And, if all else fails, I've got my wife next to me, who can scare ANYTHING or ANYONE into a near death experience!
"Hope for the best. Be prepared for the worst. You'll never be disappointed."

My knife drawer is in the living room next to my computer table, but my Mouse does sleep on my night table every night, along with my old alarm clock and about 15 piled-up books that constantly change (I love to read, I am a book-worm). I guess I can seriously hurt someone by throwing books at them... LOL!
Then again, my living room is about five steps away from my bedroom, so...

I didn't say before, but I keep a 5' japanese bo made of japanese white oak next to my right side, so within a second, I can have it smashing someone if they disturb this sleeping wolf....I also believe that one should have the weapon they're most confident & proficient with at their side. Unfortunately, I'm haven't been trained with how to use a knife....but that'll hopefully change soon....

My room is somewhat small so all my knives and martial arts weapons are readily available. Here we go:Military on night stand, pair of rattan escrimas next to bed, chinese broad sword on wall 4 staves lying around, a 3 sectional staff, a pair of kamas, and 4 throwing knives. I pity whoever breaks into my house, I could keep em busy while my dad grabbed the guns. I would hate to be on the receiving end of the police riot shot gun we have. You hold her tight, hold down the trigger and pump away.

Wiley,
[Cultural Capsule for the day]
I only sent my regards to the city of Monterrey (Sultana del Norte = Sultan of the North, that's a nickname for the city, it's a very wealthy city in Mexico), where Patogordo is located. Regios are the people from Monterrey, Chihuahueños are the people from Chihuahua (where I am from). Northerners in Mexico are stereotyped as tough people.
If I post anything in Spanish, it's like posting an inside joke from a movie, like so many others do so here, don't be offended. I would never post anything bad for anyone.
