The pivot screw is larger on the newer model and the blade is not polished like the older version. A great knife at a great price. I have my primary edc and now 2 back-ups. Sorta tells you how much I like this knife. The Caly is a fantastic design, and the smooth carbon fiber is easy on the pockets.
Oops, sorry meant to edit not quote previous post to add about smooth carbon fiber.

You guys are killing me! I have mouths to feed! :D I cannot swing that Caly right now. :(

Seriously though, that ebay deal landed me a Southfork for under $200. That is N U T S ! ! ! ! ! ! :D I haven't bought a Spydie in quite a long time now and it feels really, really, really good to scratch that itch. Yeah Southfork!

The Caly 3.5 CF ZDP was my second spydie 4 years ago. It can't be beat as a discrete, gentleman's big knife in a small package. I'm not a gentleman, but I don't like to scare people in the dentist's office, restaurants, etc ;) I can't afford a backup now, and I regret missing it's little brother, the 3.0 CF ZDP, but I've got the 3.0 in Superblue :p
K-390 on hand: Mule Team 17, Police 4 G-10, Endela (burlap micarta), Endela backup, Endura (canvas micarta), Straight Stretch (now blade-swapped with G-10 Stretch), Delica Wharncliffe, Dragonfly Wharncliffe, & Dragonfly Wharncliffe shorty mod
Note to self: Less is more.

I just received my Caly 3.5 and I am pretty excited. A couple questions though since I normally dont trust Amazon for Spyderco purchases. The paperwork that came with the knife was plain white printed and folded paper. not the usual glossy pamphlet with pictures. There was a separate, smaller one in there as well that was the glossy stuff but it was regarding ZDP steel only. Is this normal??

As we discussed offline, this is what mine had. Just thought I'd post it here too in case anyone else is curious.

Also type in "ARKANSASSTONE" in the promo code section and get a free Whetstone with that purchase.

Wish I'd known that before I ordered but I also added a Sharpmaker so I get free shipping too. The two knives will be for my grandsons and the SM for me.
