I love my Police knives. The G-10s feels "grippy" and feel more secure in your hands compared to the SS or carbon fiber models. However, I must say though that I prefer the carbon fiber model much more since it weighs considerably less. When I carry it, I practically don't feel it at all since it's so light.

FRN is my favorite, SS is second. I don't own any G-10. I just haven't seen any that I like.

Does serve to illustrate the gulf between reality and perception. By my scale the various versions of the Police weigh as follows:

G-10 - unlined - 102 gm.

Tufram Aluminum - 108 gm.

G-10 - single liner - full flat ground - 116 gm.

Carbon Fiber - 120 gm.

Titanium - 126 gm.

Stainless - 156 gm.

Santa Fe Stoneworks "Earthling" - 164 gm.

Blanchard "Flying Eagle" - 176 gm.
