Which chinook are you carrying? plain or serrated?

Sorry for keep asking around chinook, I've decided to buy a chinook, but I still can't decid about the edge: plain edge seems more beautiful, yet serrated has great cutting power... If just for self defence, which one do you prefer?

I would prefer a 50/50 edge for defence.....both my chinooks have that configuration. I find that with my cutting style (mainly slicing cuts as opposed to push cuts), serrations work much better for me.

I really like the Spyderco serrations and I have a bunch of them, but I think the plain edge Chinook just looks better.
Go figure.

For the Chinook style blade and it's normal usage, plain edge was my choice.

For self defense 50/50 is the way to go. Those serrations help you start a tough cut. But I do agree the plainedge looks better.

Sorry about the double post...
