Street Bowie Question....
I hear alot of talk about the street bowie up and comming and i was wondering if it is going to be basically the same thing that is on the SZABONIC.COM site? Any design changes? What kind of handle material... blade steel? what info in general is available.. all ive heard are rumors and rumors of rumors..

The bowie going into production is based on Fred Perrin's street bowie. However the blade is longer to make it more of a camp knife and Sal said in an earlier post that Fred had the French military in mind when he designed it. IIRC the blade is 5" long and made from VG-10 and the handle is FRN. I know I want one <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>. Here's a pic.

Great news !
Thank you Clay for filling me in here. I actually was not much of a fan of the Street bowie design as it was. Too small, too slick, and I kinda felt that the steel was probably pretty cheap since Szabonic never listed too much on what steel was used (Ibelieve i saw 440 SS somewhere)...This would be a much better design! and dispite the FRN I love it! Sooo..I guess the real question is ...WHEN??
