ETA For Superhawk and H1 Schempp Camp Knife?

#1

Post by catamount »

I'm really looking forward to these 2, along with the Stretch 2.

Sal said recently that the Schempp Camp Knife will have a thickness of 3 mm, because that is the maximum for H1. A 7" blade that thin should make for an outstanding cutter (if not prybar :rolleyes :) .

Superhawk: by autumn maybe?

Superhawk sure is slow making it's way to the line up  . But I gotta feeling the waiting will be worth it. To have the Superhawk and P'Kal both is truly a premium defense arsenal>> no question about it.

I'm also looking forward to the Ed Schempp Camp knife as well. The Street Beat was just way too short for me. But I got a feeling that this camp knife will be more of what I am looking for. The Temperance has been such a great fixed blade that I am not going to be easy to please unless they can equal that blade.

Should we count the days down to the Superhawk or does anyone know?

Schempp forgive me! In all of my frothing for the Superhawk, I forgot about that sweet bub in H1. And marquenched, duplex-structured 52100... Ooh yeah!

The latest from Sales in Golden is Oct for the Stretch 2, Nov/Dec for the Schempp, and early next year for the Superhawk.

Delayed release: New marketing tactic?

#8

Post by JD Spydo »

It's been a while since this thread was started. Are there any tentative dates yet? I hear a lot about many of these newly proposed models but this Superhawk has been mysteriously kept very unusually quiet and for some time now.

It's almost like they want to make sure they are all spoken for before they even release it

But on second thought maybe it would have been counter-productive to release the P'Kal and Superhawk too close to each other. But this delay of the Superhawk is even unusual by Spyderco's standards. Or maybe this is just a new marketing tactic. Irrespective I'll be glad when it hits the line up. JD :spyder: O
