Ok it seems the forum has died down in the past week or so.Lets see if this gets it moving a little.

How many of you are planning on buying someone a sydie for christmas or getting one yourself and witch ones?

I am pretty sure I will get two a calypso jr micarta and a starmate or R .

I am buying someone else a dragonfly.

I plan to pick up another Chinook,(with a plain edge this time), and a lil temperance. And a perrin street bowie as soon as I find one.

I'm after a Cricket & Harpy. If finances permit, maybe a CF Civilian or two.

Spydies on my X-mas list:

Gunting, then probably Shabaria for myself. None for other people, yet...

I hope everyone had a safe holiday.

I bought and Endura, and two Delica's for my wifes father, and younger brothers for Christmas. While I was ordering, my wife added on a SS Native, and Vesuvius for one of my presents. I would really like a Wegner JR from Santa, but I don't think I will get it.

tbarahon,

Great choice, welcome to the Chinese Folder Club.

My Xmas list just keeps getting longer and longer. I'm hanging out for a gunmetal blue Chinese Folder. Then there's the forum Vesuvius, if it comes to fruition, followed by the Perrin fixed blade and the Glesser/Perrin neck knife. Of course I'll also have to buy the diamond rods for the Sharpmaker and maybe a micarta Jester if I can find one. I hope the kids aren't expecting too much .

I got a 204 last week. The danged thing will sharpen just about everything but my wits. I love the way the top becomes a handle, the stones fit into the bottom to form a wide flat surface (to sharpen chisels) and everything fits inside where it won't get lost. The video is great but I wondered when Sal will offer a DVD to get us into the 21st Century.

I guess I will continue to sharpen my lawnmower blade on the benchgrinder but everything else is headed for the 204.

Spyderhog here! For Christmas I gave the Spydie-Gift that keeps on giving. I have joined the "Spyderco Collector's Program". Now that I am registered(thanks Kelly W.), I basically thumb through the 2002 catalog and admire the great new knives coming out this next year and dream of the day that these Spydies get released and arrive automatically at my local knive shop! And each one engraved with my personal assigned collector's number etc. There are still a LTD. group of numbers available as I speak for those so inclined. There are 200 available total.

BTW- I noticed on E-Bay that an entire collection, to date, of Spyderco Collector's Knives is up for sale. You buy them and can even assume the number for future knives! Thirty-Three knives in the lot.Killer way to invest in Spyderco futures if anyone has the bux. Wish I could do it but can't swing it; so my collection starts anew.Still stoked! Think about that E-BAy post:33 serialized Spyderco Knives in one sale! Ho Ho Ho
