Hi Ryan,

We still follow a lot of nothern hemisphere Christmas traditions that don't make a whole lot of sense if looked at rationally :-)

Including the big, fat, jolly man, sweating profusely in his red suit, large boots and beard - just like your Santa.

I've spent a White Christmas in the US a few years back - and I'd have to say I prefer ours - warm, lazy days - watching the Melbourne Test Cricket match.

What is even more ridiculous, my family sits down to a traditional Christmas dinner. Turkey, ham, plum pudding with brandy sauce etc. Imagine stuffing all that down when the temperature's about 100 degrees <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>.

It is kinda funny. Big fat man dressed for extreme cold bouncing in a sled from rough to roof in that heat. I would imagine that large and typ of meal is rather out of place also.
