Question on Military Markings

I have seen two variations on the Military models; both in CPM-440V steel 1) one version has "ALL" the info engraved into the front face of the blade in bright text, 2) the other version having "Military" in BOLD, darkened text on the face of the blade, and the steel type and Golden, USA etched onto both sides of the blade's base area.

Can anyone explain the differences, when they were made, or why the two different labeling treatments were used?

Anyone at SFO know this by any chance?

Thanks

Well, once upon a time in Spyderland, the Millies had its inscription engraved by a diamond engraver.. Nice and neat.. Then came the improved Millie 2000 that had its namesake blasted with Spyderco's latest laser engraving machine which is the most AWESOME looking thing in this world.. You've gotta see it, to believe it!

Sam,
So the diamond scribe engraved miltary models are pre-2000? Also, the laser etched blades, they have that brownish-black lettering-right?

Also, what other improvements/differences , if any, are there on these two Military Spydercos knives? Thanks.

Anyone?

Here is the thread that you want to read. Much explanation from the man himself.

Personally, I think the laser-engraved Military logo is pretty nasty. The diamond engraving was classier - but maybe it is just nostalgia.

I am holding out for the someday-to-come Mini-Military.
