NOTE!

Recently I started to use a Norton/Symantec VPN. I can turn it on/off, and change the country that I access websites from to post or carry out purchases. I thought that it was safer to use a VPN for privacy and so a week or so back started to use the VPN.

For the last week when I log in to the forums to post I have been receiving the following message, "Your IP 159.65.XXX.XXX has been blocked because it is blacklisted. For details please see http://www.spamhaus.org/query/bl?ip=159.65.XXX.XXX."

All that I do is turn off the VPN and everything is fine. Somebody somewhere spammed somebody. I do not send spam, nor hack anyone, so I don't know what this is about....if they are blocking the VPN domain or my actual address, I have no idea who spamhaus is. I am a client of AT&T and Norton/Symantec for the VPN.

Anyone have a clue about this?

EDIT:
I read the spamhaus docs a little bit more. Apparently they have had a spammer use their VPN, and now it is effecting me. I have to contact Norton/Symantec.
Happened to me without using a VPN. Gave me the same message when I was using data on my phone, then when I used WiFi it was okay. Now it’s back to normal.
The MAC Address on the data gateway must be being blocked.

Yeah I have no idea what that means so I’ll believe you.

Hi Sal, im not really sure where to post this but id like to report what I believe are two fake Australian online knife sellers (could be from anywhere but have .au in their Internet address) who are using official Spyderco pics and logos to rip people off or/and sell fake spydercos.
Every time I look for spydercos online, they come up in the first page or two of searches on google here in Sydney
I believe both are connected and the same operation as both sites are under the same format and style,
Ive not bought from them as I can tell its a scam because of the prices, the stock and all the sketchy lack of details on their sites, the list goes on, Im very careful where I buy from.
It reeks of a scam, thought you'd want a heads up.
Where would you like the details of both sites?
Privately or just put it up here?
cheers

Hi Salty Dog

We do have a section for Knock offs. Maybe Kristi can move it there and let Peter and Kelly know of your information?

Broken record statement here.... But well done, Sal. What better way to lead than by example? And what better example to lay forth in our unprecedented tumultuous times than this. It will take action, not words (tho I do see the irony here), to start to slowly right the ship that we call "Western" culture. Our social fabric is being stretched in all directions with these new technologies and the manipulation they enable, and none of us has ever experienced anything like it.

This. The way Sal behaves. This is what our kids need to see.

Hat tip to you, sir.

The humility on display in this thread is... uncommon in today's world, let alone in this particular industry. It's a welcome sight. To be more specific would go counter to what's being asked here, so I'll leave it there, but just know that I'm a big fan of voting with my wallet and it's nice taking a look at how things are handled here and not having to regret where my money has gone.
