Sal,

is it possible/practical to make the new Lil Temp ambi? If not, how about a left-handed version? I'd love to see for myself why some are so fanatical about this :spyder: .

Blue or green G10 would be my choice for scale material.

Please let me know first and second choice.

Wow, talk about casual bombshell!

First choice: 6AL4V Titanium
Second choice: G-10 Tan
(Third choice: FRN 3D)

I'll get one regardless of the variation that comes out though. :D

Choice of handle,

1) Titanium (first of course)
2) Carbon fiber
3) Green or Blue G10 or even silver twill G10
4) Raw micarta would also be nice

Choice of blade,

1) CPM S125V
2) CPM M4
3) CPM S90V
4) CPM D2

 Any combination of these handles with blades would make an unique and very fine knife.
I would gladly pay some extra for these fine materials ! :)

Handle:
1st choice: G-10 dark red or tan
2nd choice: Titanium, as thin as possible.

Blade:
I'd be happy with any current steels Spyderco uses. I'm not picky.

sal wrote:We have not abandoned the Lil' Temperance. The design has been refined. It's a little thinner (Sorry, Westfork). The bumps have been smoothed to permit more grip potential.

The model was disco'd for lack of a good maker. We had planned to make it in Golden, but we're pretty busy right now.

I will be speaking to a maker with the capability and capacity shortly.
While we're on the subect:

6AL4V Titanium
G-10 (color?)
Carbon Fiber
Aluminum
Stainless Steel
FRN (3D or flat)

TI 1st choice. TI second choice. Please give us some TI!

I would truly like to see a TI frame lock with the other side panel G-10 in old school Lil Temp Green.

Not a bad idea, G-10 on the non-clip side.

:D and one more thing, how about a larger pivot screw and bronze bushings, My well used Lil Temp is really beat around the pivot bolt ( Loose). i have to really crank it down now to eliminate blade play.

If we are talking about the compression lock.....

Ti if you are going to be able to do an integral compression lock.

Otherwise, G10 or CF, either works for me, although I would always take CF over G10 solely on appearance reasons. CF is easier to clean gunk out of over the Spyderco G10 texture (especially mud and such).

Ti is getting too expensive lately. I would like a material like on the originals. I really like them the way they are, comp lock and all.

As far as steel goes I'd make it in CPM M4 due to the strength and wear resistance it gives. It would be a great knife. Probably coated to keep complaints about rust down.

The other steels would work but wouldn't bring on the feeding frenzy M4 would. If I'm not mistaken S125V has been dropped from their catalog for the time being. There are other steels that would work, especially if the knife was made overseas.

Any upgrade you have concieved to make this excellent knife better is fine with me, so whatever comes out of this I'll buy. I'm stating my preferences, not stating it would be the best knife around. Thanks for listening, Joe
