wow, i'm glad everyone likes my setup. thanks, all

zenheretic, the clipless bali is a BM42. the other three are BM41, BM46, and a BM47.

unfortunately, the flash makes some of the knives look different. the Shabaria looks grey, the burgundy Goddard looks pink, the Tasman seems almost white...
and I suppose it's from the perspective, but the Kiwi, Cricket, and Spin look like they're the same size as the Native and Dodo. ah well

oh, the one next to the ATR is a Wegner.

Nice setup fyunchclick! No worry on the empty drawers, you appear to have been bitten by the collecting bug, so they'll fill up soon enough. :D

Jakemug, Th232 is correct, it is a Shabaria, and they look even more "exotic" when open...

Thanks Paul. Do you mind a short history lesson on this one? If it is on your website just refer me there. Otherwise, like little info (price, how many made, materials, etc.) An ebay search revealed zero. Got an early feeling she's playing hard to get.

C59 came out in 1999 or 2000 with VG-10 steel bland, and micarta handle. Designed by an Israeli inspired by a traditional nomadic knife from the Jordan river valley.

Many find the handle just a tad to short to make it comfortable to hold. The blade is cool though.
Follow the mushin, but pay it no heed.

WOW.

That's the first word that came to mind when I saw your set-up and it seems to be a common response. Fantastic collection, beautifully displayed--it's fun just to look at the pix and try to ID all the different blades.

But aren't you worried your Spydies might eat those "butterflies"?

heh, separate drawers. I dont want them to fight. Actually, I try to keep the non-Spydies in their own compartment, but I didnt want to post a pic of a drawer with one knife. haha.

I'm quite shocked at the responses the pics are getting. I couldn't have hoped for a better reaction. As for the Shabaria, I dont think any photo does it justice. The micarta is just so brilliant and crisp. When my friend bestowed it upon me, I couldnt stop caressing the scales. I do agree with zenheretic, that it really isn't a user, but it's definitely my favorite piece to play with.

hi again
docboy, the Shabaria is PE

as for the non-Spydies, the folder next to the Native and Dodo is a Timberline Kelly Worden, and the one above the Goddards and Gunting is a Timberline Lightfoot Zambezi Backup. there's also a small Gerber Trendy (under the Kiwi) and two BM Snody Activators (next to the Swicks).

not pictured are some pieces that my wife and i have at work or scattered:
a Kershaw Leek and Rainbow Chive, Tasman SE, Timberline Minipup, BM Fecas Gamer, CRKT Fixed Ryan, Ontario Spec Plus Tanto.
