I think it'd be fair to say that these, wave or not, would sell pretty much instantly.

But hey. A matriarch would be cool too, sans wave.

I would probably buy one - if it would have wave, that is. Waving a knife that is designed for situations where tenths of seconds count makes perfect sense.
...but no, no, you know it all, it's harmless little bunny...

Never had any problems with my original (weak hand, rear pocket carry) but
a wave sounds interesting. May just break out the Foredom tool and modify
mine just to see. (don't worry you purists, I have a spare :p )

If I do ya'll will be the first to know. Bigk6

I've beeen carrying a Matriarch since they first came out (yes, it's a grey one), and I have no interest in a waved knife. It's a solution to a problem that does not exist. I prefer to trust personal attributes over gimmicks.

A waved matriach would be cool.

What would be even cooler is a Matriach with a 5 inch blade, G10 handle an titanium liners  If you pull that out of your pocket with the wave feature, people start screaming and running instantly :D

For a long time, I used to share your opinion regarding the Wave feature..... Then I got my hands on an Emerson Mini-Commander w/ Wave. I've retired all of my other knives I used to EDC. It works, and it works well.

A Matriarch that deploys as I pull it from my RFP? Sounds like a dilly of a way for me to lacerate my own kidney. So, no thanks.

Actually, on waved models; the blade clears your leg completely before the wave feature snags on your pocket clip. So as the knife opens, the back, unsharpened spine of the blade is the only portion that would barely make contact with your leg.

Sal and co, any way you wanna look at it;

The people have overwhelmingly voted for a return of the Matriarch, at least in some form.

It's clear that the market is sustainable; Country is getting $135 for em NIB, whereas I picked up a civi for $120.

If you're worried about the non white hat market, make it the same price or slightly lower than the civi (its fair enoufg considering size and handle differences)

The collectors, and the users, and the general, law abiding fans of this knife implore you; bring it back, if not for a long time, but a good time!

:spyder: It's no gimmick! Wave it baby! Where can I buy one of these vorpal blades! Use the original tooling like you did on the waved rescue and keep the prices down! Woot! WOOT! :spyder:

Waved EDC size

#38

Post by ozspyder »

I'd love to see one waving out of my pocket in an easier to carry EDC sized package....see: Mini-Manix and Mini-Persian for thei uiility value in a smaller package.

Yes I know, the Matriach is more specialised in its application. Would be cool though to bring to a BBQ, waved it out to cut some sausages etc :p
