yeah, good point made by Boxer.....

what models have been stolen JYork?

extra obvious note to everybody who frequents ebay and knife-markets and such:

keep a lookout for JYork's :spyder: # 123's

some pointers for who are going to scan ebay for the upcoming weeks but are not sure how to get the results you're looking for......(i'm on it already, but more scouters means more chance of success):

when doing an ebay-search:

- search: offered from 'worldwide/anywhere'
- search: within titles and description
- search-queries:

*spyderco 123
*spyderco numbered
*spyderco limited
*spyderco edition
*spyderco rare
*spyderco collectible/-able
*spyderco special
*spyderco serial
*spyderco number(s)
*spyderco collector('s)(s)
*spyderco marked
*spyderco marking(s)

to name but a few.....

be extra weary of Spyderco's that are marked as serial-numbered, but the actual number is not mentioned, nor shown in the auction.

now let's go hunting! :)

well, i've a feeling that eventually, some of the knives will start surfacing online... might take a little while, but if people on these forums and others are informed, they WILL be noticed if and when they begin to appear on ebay...

Stealing a man's knives...now that is REALLY LOW!!!! I'm so sorry to hear about your losses!!! Can you give us the top 5, or rarest knives to look for?

Also, you can check on edcforums.com, jerzeedevil.com/forums (warning, this forum may not be work or kid appropriate!)

I'll keep my eyes open for you!!!

Good luck!!

I will keep an eye out on eBay too. It would definitely help to know the models that were stolen, and whether there are any knives with that CC# that might be legitimately in circulation.

F that guy! Whoever stole them is a real jerk! Stealing a man's knives is something you just don't do. I'm sorry.

Was a lot of other stuff stolen?

I hate to ask this question, but.....

I've found that most of the time, in cases like this (if it was just your knives that were stolen - or if they were the "main" item stolen), that the thief is most likely someone you are "friends" with or know. If it was just your knives that went missing during the break-in, you may want to start showing up randomly at the houses of those who have seen your collection recently, and just kind of look around while you are there. Usually, the person that steals something like that is someone who already knew you had them, knew where you kept them, knew your schedule, knew when you would be gone, etc.... a friend or acquaintance, for example. I hate to say it, but you should think about who has been to your place recently and knew the knives were there. Then start thinking about who might be shady enough to steal them.

Or, I may just be paranoid and be the only person around here that thinks like that.

Either way, I hope they turn up.
