SKU for VG-10 Endura?

#1

Post by shootist16 »

What is the SKU for the new Enduras? I want to order some from my distributor when they come in but need to know how to differentiate between the new, VG-10 Enduras and the ATS-55 ones.

Dennis,

Won't they (VG-10 versions) likely be the same p/n, and just begin appearing inside the boxes instead of the ATS-55 ones? Perhaps not, and I hope you're right because that would make things much simpler for us.

It doesn't seem likely that they would change the model #, considering that the blade steel, clip type, and other changes/refinements have been made before and the model # is still the same.

I was hoping there would be some distinction. Kind of like the Endura 98. I want to order some VG-10 Endura's but want to be sure that is what I'm getting instead of ATS-55. I guess I will have to have my rep look for me.

Sorry Shootist. In the "Big picture" world of knives, the change in steels is not considered enough of a difference to make the distinction. The Endura 98 was a different model, different mold, clip and steel.

Thanks for the reply Sal. I'm looking forward to getting one of the VG-10 Enduras.

I thought I read somewhere (forgot where) that the new Endura and Delica models will, in addition to VG-10 steel, also feature a flat saber grind instead of the hollow grind, to aid in tip strength. Is this so?

Hello all,

Has anyone seen the VG-10 Enduras or Delicas for sale yet? I'm anxious to get a serrated Endura with the VG-10 blade but haven't been able to find one.

Hope for the best. Be prepared for the worst. You'll never be disappointed.
