WITH ALL THE THINGS GOING ON PEOPLE ARE FREAKING OUT ABOUT KNIVES. I HAVE CARRIED A KNIFE SINCE HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MID SEVENTIES. I HAVE CARRIED MY SPYDERCO DELICA ON AIRPLANES ALL OVER THE US. TO BE HONEST I FEEL NAKED. ALL TO MANY TIMES KNEE JERK REACTIONS LIKE THIS INHIBIT THE LAW ABIDING PEOPLE AND THE CRIMINALS CONTINUE TO RUN AROUND UNINCUMBERED. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS.

Welcome Rico!
It's only going to get worse. As I'm sure you know, anything can be used as an offensive weapon. What makes me sick is that it's knives (and tools) that will take the brunt of the blow. In my opinion, a knife is primarily a tool that distinguishes us from the apes. My advice is: whatever may happen in the near future you must not give up your edge! Just my $0.02.

Hi Rico, welcome to the forums! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

I think that making knives illegal on aircraft is just taking the tools away from the law-abiding majority out of fear of an extreme minority.

Also, Rico, please don't use all caps when you post. It makes the post harder to read. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

Hi Rico,
I agree with the others, and feel that, as responsible individuals, we should always view our knives as tools. Although some may disagree, IMHO we should stress to anyone that comments otherwise, that what ever knife they see us using, it is only a tool.
It's hard to keep from getting PO'd, but we are the responsible ones afterall.
