Thanks for the hardware

To make it short;

I had Mike at River City make me a sheath for my Chinook, decided to have it molded for use w/o clip. Sheath came, works great, but discovered there are times when I desire the clip, went to the drawer to get screws, pulled too hard, everything fell out. DUH!

Could not find 2 of the screws, sigh.

But Spyderco customer service came through with some repl screws @n/c to boot.

Thanks for helping out this clumsy guy who has incredibly dense shag carpet.

Hi Brian,

Pleeaassee.....say the shag isn't green, gold or burnt orange!

Thanks for your nice comments. I'll pass it along to warranty and repair (Mike, Keith and Janet), they ARE appreciated but comments like yours really make their day!

A "secret of the ninja" from one who has lost screws and springs in carpet for 40 years! Get a big magnet (like the base of a car cell phone or radio antenna mount) and slowly sweep it through the carpet starting at the center of the "drop area" and work out as far as you think the screws could have bounced and then go out farther! Hope this works for you.

"I just thought of something. What if this thing can read minds?" "He's gonna be real mad when he gets to me." THE THING

To improve on the magnet idea, wrap the magnet with a bandana before sweeping with it. The bandana makes it so you do not have to pick off the screws, you just hold the corners of the cloth and pull.

Good Luck! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

Thanks Joyce, Mike, Keith and Janet!
And thanks also Glockdoc and S&S, I did try the magnet trick, no luck tho.
Alas carpet is a yucky gold color, to be changed next year, hopefully!
