Just two quick questions for Sal --
When will the diamond Sharpmaker be available?
How much more (retail) will it cost over the existing ceramic?
Thanks!

Question for Sal.......
Just to flesh out the question -- tho I do recall Sal saying around the first of next year for the appearance of the diamond sleeves -- will there be a completely new model containing both the two grades of ceramic and the diamond sleeves; and, will the sleeves be sold as a separate item, to enable the 203/204 to be brought up to speed?

The diamond sleeve sounds like a great idea, but would it be possible to get a
sharpmaker 204 handle?
I already have every piece of ceramic that Spyderco makes, but I would like to get the handle that would allow me to sharpen to both thirty and fourty degrees.
One way or the other, you pay for your tools!

The diamond triangle will be an accessory.
It is a hollow steel triangle that is diamond plated (hollow to save weight). It has a groove just like the ceramic triangles.
Production is expected in January '02.
We don't have any $ figures yet. I can say that they will be more expensive than the ceramic stones. If you purchase as set, you will, IMO, probably replace the gray (brown) stones with the diamond "stones".
