NGK ZDP Delicas?

#1

Post by eljay »

More evidence that the second wave of ZDP Delicas is hitting - I received one of those UPS notices today from New Graham and the only thing I had outstanding was a ZDP Delica order. Last I heard I was around #120 in line so that's fairly interesting. Anybody know how many they received?

They recieved 20 today.
First they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not stand up, because I was not a Trade Unionist.

I contacted NGK and was informed that they had around 150 or so people on a lit.

Think the only way I will get a ZDP-189 Delica for a reasonable price is pure luck.

They will be easy to come by once regular production starts. No blue though.

My dealer recieved at least one yesterday. :)

I'm not sure if I'm gonna pick it up or not...Was the Delica solid zdp? or was it sandwitched?

Thanks!
God bless!

I just got two today that I had forgot that I preordered :o The retailer never contacted me and UPS just showed up with an unexpected box.

I'll have to wait for the retailers to sell out so I can sell or trade them.

I got one from NGK a couple weeks ago, but yesterday I got an email from KnifeCenter that one I ordered about 3 weeks ago was on its way. That one with be getting some G11 handles made for it. I really don't care for the blue FRN.

I have found that my membership in the Spyderco Collectors Club gives me a pretty good shot at prompt delivery of all new models.

But it does get expensive.

When I ordered the ZDP Delica from NGK on June 6, I was 130th in line. No word yet. However, I have a superior attitude, live clean, don't hardly ever cuss and I got cooth so it is just a matter of a little more time until ZDP D-day in my neck of the woods.

Best,
