Hiho,
. auto=illegal ; I even do not carry my Kershaw Chive (and it is probably the most inoffensive knife of the lot), just to be on the safe side ...
. officially, any knife carry without acceptable reason (fishing, hunting, ...)=illegal
. a pocket knife (=non threatening AND not in a nogo surrounding (eg dancing)) is mostly accepted (genre SAK or (small) Buck 110 style).
. double-edged (=dagger style) will get you into trouble
I guess Navigator (have 2), Co-pilot, Mouse (have 1), Cricket (have 2) would not cause to big a problem. Military (have 1), Shabaria (have 1), Centofante 2 (have 1), Chinook, Gunting, ... would be looked doubtfull upon.
I know certain police depts. in my region carry Victorinox Supertools and Spyderco Spydercards ... I guess they would understand the usefullness of those tools

PS : Harpy, Matriarch and Civilian will need a d*mn good explanation to be accepted as gardening tools
