Hi Glockdoc. The Perrin is a light knife. It's a very efficient package considering the blade length. The steel (VG-10), the blade length (5&quot<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle> and flat grind will permit the geometry for light chopping, but due to the overall lightness of the knife, more force would be necessary. On the positive side, the deep finger choil and Kraton inserts provide a great deal of grip and control over the blade.

Beutiful......!!!!!!!!
Your blades have always been a work of art, your handles have mostly been plain(no complaints, they still beuts), but now that I see blades like your Meerkat I must say I love the handle designs with the cutouts.
Looks beutiful and sure itll cut even better.

Thanx guys

Keep well

Thank you for the pictures. I like the detail put into the handles. What will the sheaths be like for the fixed blades?

Take care,

Finally, the Vesuvius we have all been waiting for. Putting in the Spyder inlay means I can finally accept the FRN handle material.

Bob Lum blade is great.

The Temperance looks like it has a black G10 handle here. Are the production versions still going to have olive drab G10?

Hi Stu. The Lum has a leather scabbard. The Perrin is planned for kydex. We're working on the sheath now.

Is the inlay on the Vesuvius a mother of pearl or another material?
Can't wait to get that one.

Ok someones got to ask. Personally I trust spyderco so I really don't have any concerns about the quality, materials, sizes etc.
I want to know how much it's gonna hurt my wallet. Specifically the Perrin and the Lum.
The lum by the way is georgous. I am interested in buying both but I wanna know how much?

Hi Ricky. It's metal, a type of silver compound.

Hi Chambers. I don't have the confirmed prices, but I'm thinking the Tanto is about $150 and the Perrin, a little less.
