In about a week I will have close up pictures comparing the original Chinook, the Chinook II, and the Chinook III along with an interview I did with Jim Keating himself. Rock on :spyder:

guys, don't take a bad habit, it's the Chinook II flat ground, not the Chinook III :D

Looking forward to the pictures. Which is better of the three if you were to choose an all around EDC? And how is flat ground better than hollow ground?

:spyder: Better is very subjective and difficult to quantify. Flat ground blades
have more acute grind bevels allowing them to slice easier. The more obtuse bevel on sabre or hollow ground blades is stronger than a flat grind. :spyder:

I just bought a Chinook II. i was wondering how can i tell if it IS a 2 or a 1? sorry if this sounds stupid..

The Chinook two looks just like the one in the catalog, The Chinook 1 is visibly "clunkier" and uses a different steel, I believe.
Follow the mushin, but pay it no heed.
