Stare- There's a simple way to tell if your knife is a whittler or stockman. Simply look at the blade configuration. If the main blade is the only one on its pivot, with 2 small blades (maybe 1 and a file)on the other pivot, it is a whittler.

If the knife has a master blade and another blade on the same pivot, with a 3rd blade on the other pivot, it is a stockman.

Case whittlers can be worth a great deal, so I would look and see. Also, post what the tang stamps look like and I can tell you how old it is. Good Hunting!! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>
