Lum Chinese Folder Clip Location

#1

Post by Terr »

I just received my Chinese folder last week and it arrived tip-up. I moved it to tip-down and there were chips in the finish aroud the tip-up holes so I moved it back and the screws had chipped the finish in the tip-down holes (although not as much as the "factory installed" chips). The finish chips are relatively minor and I expected the anodized finish to behave like this. I almost didn't buy this knife because of the liner-lock and the anodized finish, but I'm very glad I did. It's a beautiful knife. This should satisfy my knife purchasing urges until the BG-42 Temperance Jrs. are produced.

I just think it's funny that there seems to be some confusion at the factory about the clip location.

Hey Terr...
I had the same problem with mine. I used a green "Sharpie" marker on the exposed aluminum and it covered it pretty well. It doesnt match perfectly, but it works pretty good. (It's not as noticeable any more, at least)
