Is this normal with flat grind?

Post by vampyrewolf »

It seems pretty much impossible to put marks on the hollow grind Delica, yet anything I do marks up the side of the Dragonfly blade (both use ats-55)...

fingerprints, cheese, cardboard, clothing... every time I look at it, it has a mark from something.

is this normal with flatgrind knives?

(I have a vg-10 Calypso jr lightweight on order for late-october, flatgrind)

We all start with 10 fingers. Those with Spydies have 9 to spare, Still need a thumb. Good thing I still have 8 to spare...

Ihave the Calypso Jnr Lightweight, and the little so n' so seams indistructable.

I find I get more temporary marks (fingerprints mostly) from the knives I oil most, but they also wipe off the easiest.
