#1

Post by Puyallupknifegu »

Hello again everyone!

I just picked up my new Waved Delica 4 today and it's a blast! :D

Any plans in the future to put the wave on any other models?

Anyone live in the Western Washington area?

Have a great day! :)

I think there is one planned with a removable wave feature.

The name starts with a P I think
Every thing here is Spyderific! My new word meaning 'great like spyderco'

Thanks Sal and everyone at BritishBlades.com for the UKPK :spyder: :)

I want a fully serrated UKPK :) Please Sal

Glad you like the Delica 4 with wave feature is this your new EDC? I received mine this past friday and also have the waved Endura. I like the wave better on the spyderco than the emerson just seems a little easier to use.

There is that p'kal word again! Congrats on the endura 4. Just think, what I am hearing is the e4 works just as efficiently as the emerson model at a fraction of the cost. Go Spyderco!

Hi Puyallupknifeguy,
Welcome to the boards. I live near Spokane, WA, which is in the same state, but not real close. I think there are a couple on here that live over your way.
The waved Delica 4 is on on my list, someday.

Thanks everybody for making me feel like part of the family!

Yes, I think that the Waved Delica is my new EDC...will occasionally carry my Dodo! :)

Thank you so much for the pics of the P'kal...I think it will be on my must have list...interesting concept of a removable wave.

Can someone explain to me about the "trick" with the ziptie? Dr. Snubnose?

Spokane? I have a local shop (in Tacoma) that I go to that has amazing prices on everything edgy!
If anyone lives in my area and is interested, feel free to email or private message me. I'm always looking for new "knife buddies" :o

If you put the Ziptie thru the spyderhole connect and cut the end off you have a removeable wave function, size of knife will determine size of tie...give it a try It is fun....Doc

i've got one on the Karambit i have on my right now (am doing recording at work atm) it works pretty well although the one on my Dodo works MUCH better. i think this is because you tend to have to have the ziptie on the narrowest part of the top of the hole (otherwise it will slide loose) and on the Dodo that has the tie facing forward where as on the Karambit it's more right on top.

Steve (STR) makes its own version of the wave. IMHO it looks much better than the original and I'd say it works pretty well too. Too bad I can't find some pics of his work right now... :(

Thanks Dialex! By the way, I love your concepts!!! Makes me want to learn Photoshop just so I can make my designs look that nice! :D

By the way, I'm currently designing as well...I guess at least half of the forum probably is? ;)

Thanks for the kind words. Indeed, many of us come with a knife idea now and then. Sometimes there are really interesting things coming out :)
I guess once you learn to appreciate a knife, you start to look for improvements - till you get a whole new knife ;)
