Native appreciation thread

This knife has really won me over in the last year. The more I carry it and use it the better it gets. It feels comfortable in any situation. I really think sometimes the basic knives are the best. The Native really is a take anywhere do anything classic. S30v at this price point is exceptional. Does anyone else feel this way? Any other die hard native fans?

i''m a big fan as well. i'm normally drawn to the more... exotic blades and at first saw the Native as a bit plain but i have gronw to appreciate it's simblicity of line and visual (and physical) strength. one of these days i'll get a SE SS Native.

I'm a Native fan!!!

Great knife, and a fantastic deal for the money. Shame on me though, I haven't been paying it the attention it should get.

Great pics BTW ;)

Native III is an edc along with a Delica

I cannot say enough about how much I like it

easy to sharpen , perfect ergonomics , and best value for money knife on the planet IMHO

having said that I`d love a 4 inch blade version .

I love it too. I have the PE version from Wal-Mart. $40 for S30V? Who can say no to that?

The Native is an excellent knife. It's not my favorite, but it is the one I will grab if I need to do some heavy duty cutting. I really wish they made a full flat ground version with no swedge grind and no Boye dent.

I have a drawer full of knives that rarely get carried because of the Native. For 3 years I did the "Ah, xxxx will be the perfect EDC (the only kind of knife I am really interested in) for me" thing.....lots of trades, and buying on the forums. The S30 Native just keeps ending up in my pocket. For me, it has plenty of edge, carries well, has great blade steel, and the handle fits me well (can't say the same for the Native3). What has it beat out?

I don't even think that a G10 Native would replace it, unless it was made as slim as the FRN model. (a G10 Lum Chinese, well that may be another story...)

The Natives that you folks are showing looks so good. My pocket clip is scratched up. I purchased my native at Walmart with the intent on using it, (not abusing). I normally just throw it in my pocket for whatever. It turns out that this Native that I constantly ignore keeps getting my attention. Good knife, good price. Not my favorite, but it works, literally. Not too bad to use in front of the p.c. folks.

I too like the natives. Here is a pic of one (of 25) that I had engraved for scouts I know that make it to the eagle rank. Another one will be going out next month.
