C54 has definitely the greatest personality from my knives.
Its like a spiritual leader to them ;)

I have to say my current Spyderco that has much personality is my Karambit. That is a wicked little creature that does not lack confidence, opened or closed.

My large Persian's cool, and he knows it. Doesn't need to be used everyday because he knows sooner or later he'll be grabbed again because, well, he's just cool.

I think the Spyder-key has lots of charm. It is the only Spydie I know of that has but one big serration (sort of like a baby's first tooth).

none of them are happy until they get a taste of blood... then they seem to settle down.

My Spyderhawk was the most cranky til it bit me while i was closing it one handed... now i
use 2 hands every time :) Now he's settled down and is content with rope and stuff like that :)

My P’kal; it feels as if I have been adopted by a big old wild cat.

Every one who sees it describes it as mean, nasty, vicious and dangerous. If I let them handle it, they handle it very cautiously.

But it treats me like its kitten, indulging all of my clumsiness and play. After I first unpacked it I went though the usual fondling process and then tried out the Emerson opener. Well I had cargo pants on at the time, so I tried drawing it from every place I could fit it. (Stopped before I got to any body orifices)

In my enthusiasm I messed up a lot of those draws, I should been cut, I should have bleed. That razor sharp blade end up in some nasty places, but not one bit of blood was spilt, not one cut, not even a mark on the skin and no clothing cut either.

And I assure it wasn’t from any skill on my part, my big old wild cat was looking after its new kitten.

Wow! A five-year old thread - back to life!

My original SS serrated Co-Pilot (circa 1995? or so) has a lot of attitude. We spent a lot of time together going through airports. He really didn't like the little trays I had to drop him into while I went through the metal detectors.

These were the days before the 9/11 security restrictions - and the FAA had a 2-inch rule. If the blade of the knife was less than 2 inches, it was legal to carry on. The rule wasn't always uniformly enforced, and the Screeners always looked at him (many times with envy), but never confiscated him.

Co-Pilot is ticked off that he permanently on the no-fly list.

My Calypso has more attitude then any knife I have. With the knife closed, the smooth black polished micarta, and perfect curve of the handle are very inviting. You could stare at it for hours like a piece of perfect art. Then once the knife is open you see its all business. The long polished FFG blade that's fully serrated looks like it could slice through anything like a laser.

Bradley is the king, PPT is the heavy muscle, Chokwe is the exotic queen, Lum folder is the powerful and inscrutable sage. very sharp FFG Delica and Walker are the specialists, Stretch is the commander, Manix2 is the seargent at arms, the rest are there ready to fulfill their role.

The Sage2 is the king's brother who went to create his own kingdom...... :)

The more I carry a knife and use it the more it seems to acquire personality. At first a knife to me, seems to be an unknown quantity. The more I get to know it, the more I seem to know what it can do and what it can't.

Well, my CF Caly 3 is a stuck up A-hole and if you don't pamper it just right it won't take an edge to save your life. My Para is all about "bring it on" and the Delica is like that Rambo movie...he hangs out on a shelf on my desk and doesn't do anything important because he's been there and done it and doesn't have anything to prove and knows he can throw down if called upon.
