I'm going nuts trying to find a store that has the newer versions of the calypso jr plain edge... anyone know where I can find one of these?

has the FRN plain edge for under $45. Didn't see an micarta handles.

New Graham has both the FRN and SS handles in plain edge -- at least showing. The FRN is a few cents cheaper than BLF, and the SS is $55.68.

Knife Center's web site doesn't seem to be working properly, so couldn't check there.
