Hello

My dad who is uk ken has let me join this forum. I am 8 years old and love Spyderco knives. My favourite one is the Dragonfly with steel handles and a spider and web on it.

I play rugby for West Park Leeds which is in England and I'm very fast. I like gymnastics and karate and have a green belt with a tab. I like listening to rock songs my favourite band is ACDC. I am learning to play electric guitar.

I like this site and want to learn more about knives. So Hello. :)

Welcome jaaedge! Did you know you are the youngest member of the Spyderco forum? Isn't that great? :)

So i see you play rugby, and karate? What kind of karate? Shotokan? or Kyukishin?

I like ACDC too, especially the song "Thunderstruck".

Behave , listen to your Mum and Dad and do your best at school and in sports

Bye :D

Well, hello to you to jaaedge and welcome. One of my daughters is your age and the other is a green belt in tae kwon do. Very nicely composed post I might add, and I would wish you luck in learning about Spyderco knives and others, but in this group you won't need much luck, and especially so with your Dad :D .

Welcome to the forum, Jaaedge!

A Dragonfly with spiderweb? In my opinion a good choice! I still have to find one of these

I am sure you will learn a lot about knives in general and especially about Spyderco knives if you stick around here long enough but with a father like Ken it won't take too long. ;) At least you won't have the problem with the disappearing money from your bank account as you are just 8 right now :) but I guess it could get a little expensive for your dad :D

Enjoy your time here on the forum! There are lots of great people to meet!

Cheers, Rob

P.S.: I find it really nice that we now have a couple of families here on the forum who are participating together.

Welcome. Make sure to read all the great information on this site. Lots of good information regarding different steels, their make-up/composition, and knife terms. I think I was around your age when I got into knives. No Spydercos back then, Grandfather gave me a Case Whittler slip-joint. Makes me look forward to when my 2 boys are old enough to be given knives. Enjoy and again welcome.

Welcome Jaaedge,

Never played rugby but I do like karate. I train with two of my sons but neither has a green belt yet.
I hope you will be allowed to visit often to learn even more about Spyderco knives than your father already knows. Maybe you can design your own model someday.
