Which one WoWs the most?

#1

Post by Axlis »

I was just sitting here wondering, which one of your Spydies impresses the most when showed off? In my case, it would have to be the Dodo! Everyone who sees it falls in love...well, until they ask how much one costs  I guess $80 does seems like a lot for a knife to the general public, but not to us :p

Anyways, which one of your Spydercos has the "WoW" factor?

I would have to say it's the latest edition to my "family"...SS Endura 4 SE.

Since most of the sheeple at work aren't accustomed to seeing such cutlery, the long shiny Spyderedge really catches their attention! :D

Hey All, For Me.....The Adventura. Everytime I use it, and someone sees it, they have to touch/hold it, drool on it, leave eye prints :D :p :D , etc... The Adventura is always a subject of interest to everyone that's seen it. I can say it has the "WOW Factor". :p Take Good Care All. BTW Axlis, Cool Thread Bro.

God Bless :)

If I was to have one that really blows away people and one that makes people full of envy has recently been my Plain edged, Carbon Fiber Civilian.

The one that people seem to actually want the most would be the OCELOT. :spyder:

I think my merlin, or tasman salt draws the most attention (i dont think people are acustomed to seeing hawkbills). As far as handling and WOWing goes i think my Manix and Tiger corel kopa win in that department. People are just amazed at the sheer bulk of the Manix and an awe of the fine handle finish of the kopa.

I've noticed that non knife people are attracted by SS knives. The SS SE Police definitely catches many eyes (it featured it in many movies so it's also something familiar about it) ;) I don't have a Police yet, but the Adventura got a couple raised eyebrows instead ;)

Aloha Axlis,

At home, it's definitely the PE Civilian.

On the street, it's either my Persian or Adventura...I mean, these two literally get the word, "WOW!" ;)

Spyderfly gets, "WTF!!! " (pardon my language)

Lava has been getting, "HO...I like see!!!" kinda thing... :p

God bless and take care

Same as daywalker... The Persian wins clearly... Followed closely by the Mili... Because of the "Schlaack" it makes when you gravity open it  ..

The most recent WoW I received over a Spyderco knife was my Combo-edge Black Blade Military, my co-worker actually said "Wow, that looks like a knife Batman would carry."

I also get compliments on the Persian most just think its classy.

Well, for showing off to non-knife people, you can't beat a "Q". They seem to rivet the attention of everyone who sees them, and never generates the "who you planning to kill with that" deer-in-the-headlights response so many "tactical" knives tend to cause. The Kiwi, Kopa and C27 Jess Horn are almost as universally accepted.

Among enthusiasts who have never handled one before, I would say the Military, and most especially the new CF version of it, has got to be king of the hill for WOW. Anyone who never held one has a hard time believing that so much blade, both in size and thickness can be packed in a folder that light. The checkboard appearance of the CF handles just adds a little visual appeal.

I get some varied responses ranging from, "Hot": PE Delica to, "Pretty Bada**": CF SE Harpy. Most complements go to the Lum Chinese. It's just not what people expect in a folding knife.
