Delica 4/Tasman salt

#1

Post by jon shannow »

i was thinking that seeing as though the delica handle (along with the rest of the knife) had been updated that it might follow that all the other knives that use the same handle as the delica might get an updated handle some time in the future as well

i.e. the tasman for one
i know i would love for the rest of the knives that use the delica handle to get an update

heres a pic i photoshoped who else wants one :D

Great photoshop job, but the H1 makes more sense for me with pure plastic handles.
D4 has steel liners inside, the would have to make them from H1 as well (price jumps ?) or from Ti (price jumps for sure!!!).
And on the other hand, I am somehow nostalgic for this "old time" handle pattern, dont take it back from us..LOL!

I agree, in order to maintain the corrosion resistance, the liners would have to be Titanium, which would push the price up significantly. The FRN style I would be happy with, but the liners are not needed on this model.

Well I must say thats an awesome job you did with PhotoShop!
The handle is real sexy looking, I like!!
Looks even better with the hawkbill blade on it :)

I like the idea Jon as I also prefer the ergos of the new Delica 4 handle over the previous one...perhaps the Steel liners could be treated to be corrosion resistant (like maybe DLC coating?)?

Hey great job jon!

However, I agree with Scott and Jano...however, IF the liners were treated with what they use on the pins in the Salt Series, I guess it'd be okay. :o

God bless ;)
