I'm joing the party late, but I've had a busy four days.

Chad: Best... EDC... Ever... Can't wait to get mine! It looks great! I like the shape and size of the handle and the blade, but you've got me curious with this industry first thing... :D

CONGRATULATIONS!
Mike

WOW!!!

I am really looking forward to this. I think you really are getting something out of small knives... I REALLY like the way the blade is positioned compared to the handle. Looks like a very nice cutter...

I really really really want one...

I am very glad for you...

Congratulations Chad. I got to fondle the Lava at SHOT. It's a great knife. I'm looking forward to grabbing one when they're released. :D

My favorite EDC right now is the Navigator 2 it's an awsome :spyder:

How about some comparison pics :) PLEASE!

Great job!
Aloha NorthShore!

(Cool forum name BTW)

Okay, as per your request, here are some comp pics of the Nav2 and Lava...sorry, the weather is terrible here so the pics came out even worse than usual. :( Comparison includes both knives closed and when they're compared open...ahhhhhhh, here's where the magic begins:
I aligned both handle spines and now you can see what makes the Lava "special". ]PS: Thank you to everyone else for your support!!![/size]

That's quite a hot design, I'm very much looking forward to it. :)
Congratulations Daywalker and Spyderco!
So, is the Lava somehow SD related? :D

Grats Chad, That thing is going to get a lot of pocket time with a lot of people! I Love knives that have the "flow" from the handle to the blade open and closed. 50-50 choils are sweet also. If it gets to be the forum knife I'll be picking up 2, if it is a regular model I'll also pick up 2. Asa far as "special" I must be missing somthing.

Thanks for the Nav2 vs Lava pics Chad! I was THIS close to buying a Nav2 before I saw your Lava pics, and now I've decided to wait for the Lava. More my "style". No offense to the Nav2, I know its a great knife, but I only allow myself to own a certain # of :spyder: Keeps the wife happy, you know?

Proverbs 21:9, ESV

"It is better to live in a corner of the housetop than in a house shared with a quarrelsome wife." And with all his wives, I'm sure Solomon did a lot of housetop sitting.

I, on the other hand, would prefer to have a few knives and other toys and a happy wife so I can sleep in my comfy bed and pay our bills!!! :p
