Hi Archangel,

I think you should see some the end of the year, unless the schedule is changed due to COVID.

Thanx Larrin,

Very informative, as usual.

FYI, we have almost 5,000 lbs coming in different thicknesses.

I approved the samples last week for all 4 variations.

Looks like 4 different size FFG Byrd Wharnies (including SE I'm guessing) got the go ahead.

Hi Dee,

It's too late. :p We already made a prototype in plastic, We made a prototype in steel, sent it to him to check out, he sent it back and Eric s already squeezed it into the Golden factory queue. But don't tell Shawn. ;)

Hi Toni,

We're working on a 4" (100mm) Enuff, 3mm leaf, which could serve well as a backpack knife.

Well, it's in motion, but will surely take time. First sample G-10 scales, made in the US are shipped to Japan, and once approved of, the sample prototype is sent to Golden. Once approved, an order is placed and production can begin. Also steel for this is shipped from Golden.

I almost pulled the trigger on a 4" knife, but I am going to wait to see what Sal comes up with.

Hi Sivadma,

Welcome to our forum.

Mule teams are made mostly for our customers to be able to compare steels, assemble their own knives and share information. A lot of the steels that we use began with a Mule Team. They are sold only consumer direct to keep the costs as low as possible. We do announce them in "Reveals", but the best way to actually learn of their release will be on this forum.

We don't make a lot of them, usually about 600 pcs. Usually about 4 times per year. They were popular for a while and when interest slowed, we stopped making them. Now we have brought them back due to requests. We also have some very special and unusual steels coming down the pike in Mule Teams.

Kristi has added a new forum topic just for Mule Teams which is now live.
