This is epic news
Indeed epic. Count me in!!
FRN Caly 3.5 would be a must buy for me. If it had the deep carry wire clip that would be icing on the cake.

Maybe pave the way for a 4" Calypso in FRN? :)

I was literally thinking about a 4" Calypso this morning! Get outta my head! :D Would like to see it Linerless G10 but FRN would be cool. Maybe like the new Chaparral or UKPK/Urban. Maybe with CQI to include deep carry wire clip and jimping?

I guess I spoke a bit early, so I can't say too much,

Fixed blade, made in Golden.

Fixed blade made in Golden. Sounds interesting. I cannot recall any fixed blades made in Golden except original Ronin.

IDK if this was posted here but it should be.
"The Shaman is kind of an experimental model. I spent years developing the model and a great deal of that time was in many different handles. Materials, textures, etc. until I finally decided on the current iteration. We'll watch reaction to the model before doing too much. I'd like a carbon fiber S90V version. If its popular, I'm sure one of our distributors will want various exclusive variations.

I want to know more too!
I am surprised that no one picked up on this on BF and so far you are the only one who noticed it here. But, an 8 inch bladed Spyderco?! Are they going after the Bowie market? I sure would love to have more information on this cryptic post by Sal.
I would love to know what kind of knife it is. A survival knife, camp knife or a pure fighter?

Maybe the Ankerson/Sander collaboration? A big bowie campknife fighter would be cool.

Two different knives.

I heard Sal was working on one, dunno anything about it however.

Don't have any updated info on mine either.

The Ankerson/Sanders model is different and should be out long before the Respect.

I don't know for sure, but I am assuming it will be burnt orange to match the rest of the run

I think I'm going to wait until KnivesPlus makes up another batch of acid washed S30V ones and get one with the standard black handle ($10 cheaper than the orange). I like the orange, but I think acid wash goes better with black.
