No. Go talk about it in the thread where he originally posted the bombshell. That's the place to post because that's where everyone else is discussing it. Everyone subscribed to this thread relies on it being full of signal and less of noise.dj moonbat wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 8:12 amWeird title for the thread, then. Ummm...I don't really care either way but if you are worried about 'noise' in a thread then you probably shouldn't contribute to the 'noise'.carrot wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 9:50 amNo. Go talk about it in the thread where he originally posted the bombshell. I'm more irritated with the bickering. Casual conversation does not bother me.

Many here use this thread as an early warning system, and are set up to be alerted when the thread gets something new. Everyone else's commentary is just noise in the system.
What has happened in the past is that a particular bombshell will spark a separate thread for commentary, now valuable because pertinent to the bombshell called out for discussion.
But if you want to foul the nest, it's your choice. I'm out.

Re: Sal's Casual Bombshell Thread
Carrot is spot on, if perhaps a tad blunt. This thread has been used for years for compiling Sal's bombshells and seeing where to go chat about them. If you are talking about whatever in this thread, you are missing the main conversation thread and the people chatting in that thread may be missing your valuable input. There's little reason to add discussion about the bombshells here, except to make it harder to find Sal's bombshells, or to p**s off the people who just want to find the bombshells. Both of those go against the general spirit of this forum IMO.carrot wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 9:50 amNo. Go talk about it in the thread where he originally posted the bombshell. FYI for those who don’t know. If a quote is done properly it contains a link to the original comment within the original thread. Just click that little arrow and you will be directed to the most suitable thread to discuss said bombshell. :) This even works if the original comment was on a different forum like Bladeforums.

There are several makers, using Chinese factories, who make high end knives that seem to sell well. It's not my thing, but there seems to be an emerging market for high quality, high performance, Chinese made knives.ugaarguy wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2020 5:09 pmA bit of a Byrd bombshell:

Galvanic reaction with the backspacer? I assume they already have the pivot (and washers?) worked out.
