Guy, this is NOT the place to converse with each other about what Sal has said. It has become tedious to find what’s new.
Weird title for the thread, then. You’d think “what Sal has said” is exactly what we’re supposed to be conversing about.
No. Go talk about it in the thread where he originally posted the bombshell. That's the place to post because that's where everyone else is discussing it. Everyone subscribed to this thread relies on it being full of signal and less of noise.

Ummm...I don't really care either way but if you are worried about 'noise' in a thread then you probably shouldn't contribute to the 'noise'.

I'm more irritated with the bickering. Casual conversation does not bother me.

Exactly. Lol.
Weird title, maybe.

Many here use this thread as an early warning system, and are set up to be alerted when the thread gets something new. Everyone else's commentary is just noise in the system.

What has happened in the past is that a particular bombshell will spark a separate thread for commentary, now valuable because pertinent to the bombshell called out for discussion.

But if you want to foul the nest, it's your choice. I'm out.

Carrot is spot on, if perhaps a tad blunt. This thread has been used for years for compiling Sal's bombshells and seeing where to go chat about them. If you are talking about whatever in this thread, you are missing the main conversation thread and the people chatting in that thread may be missing your valuable input. There's little reason to add discussion about the bombshells here, except to make it harder to find Sal's bombshells, or to p**s off the people who just want to find the bombshells. Both of those go against the general spirit of this forum IMO.

This thread is suddenly very confusing. Not sure what the "rules" are here.
20 :spyder:'s in 11 different steels
2 - ZT's - 0460 and 0470
1 - Microtech Ultratech DE OTF
1 - Civivi Elementum

First three pages, 28 casual bombshells. Last three pages, 6 casual bombshells. Think about it.

FYI for those who don’t know. If a quote is done properly it contains a link to the original comment within the original thread. Just click that little arrow and you will be directed to the most suitable thread to discuss said bombshell. :) This even works if the original comment was on a different forum like Bladeforums.

Hi Knivesandbooks,

The testing that we've done, which is minimal, but showed that the market doesn't seem to be interested in the better steels and higher costs. We'll continue to try to find what will work. A second maker in China has agreed to try the better steels.

There are several makers, using Chinese factories, who make high end knives that seem to sell well. It's not my thing, but there seems to be an emerging market for high quality, high performance, Chinese made knives.

It was decided that the K390 Endura family series will NOT be a Sprint, but regular "In-the-line" models.

Hi Archangel,

We have a prototype for a 3.5" blade UKPK that we call the CPK (Canadian Pen Knife - in house name).

The prototype that I have is red G-10 and leaf shaped like the Heinnie Haines model . It's not been put in queue yet as the factory is very busy. The Alistair slippie is first going to be a locker due to the success of the larger version. Thew reason fr a larger slippie is Canada and Germany.

Galvanic reaction with the backspacer? I assume they already have the pivot (and washers?) worked out.
