This is the best news I've heard all year. I will be eagerly watching these.

In Boston itself we're limited to 2.5" but luckily anywhere outside of the city, we can carry any size blade as long as its not an Auto or double edged.

If it's scaled down overall from the Native 5 (kind of like the CF Chaparral is to the Sage 1) I'd be in for one for sure.

I really don't know how people who want some freedom to be themselves can live in such oppressive places, especially when they can freely move to another place much more "freedom friendly." You should check out Arizona or any number of other places that have at least some measure of trust in you as a person.

Really shouldn't say things of that sort on a peaceful forum. IME, the places more supportive of certain freedoms are often the most oppressive of others.

Regarding the new D'Allara 3

"The first run is flat G-10. I like to test designs with slab models before tooling for FRN. The ultimate production model is planned for textured FRN with a slight contour. This will begin once the design and any glitches are sorted."

We designed a Dyad some years ago with two stainless Reave integral locks that we planned to make in H1, but the H1 couldn't be machined on the ramp due to it's work hardening. The ergos were better becaused the lock takes up less space. Then we wanted to make it in VG-10, but the cost was prohibitive. I'll pull it out again for a look-see.

From a thread about "why no new tanto designs" over on BF.
Not really a direct bombshell, but a small hint of hope for a return of the Lum Tanto folder, if there is enough positive response! :)

Hi GGlotz,

It's kinda funny, but besides the Lum Tanto models, Tantos and recurves have just not done well. Don't know why. If we were to do another, it would probably be a sprint Lum.

Interesting the way he nonchalantly drops these things on us, isn't it?
