just out of curiosity, how do these two spydies compare?

the manix is a personal favorite... i've handled a couple lil temps, but haven't ever carried or used one...

I say the Manix is the "tougher" of the 2.

The main difference is the handle. The blade is very similair and the edge is almost the same in length. Here are some comparison pics I took sometime ago

I have them both and they are completely different knives. As always the solution to this quandary, and you already know this, get them both. :D

Great pictures Ted.

Although I own both the Manix and Lil' Temp.. I've never seen them side by side.

Thanks!

Glad to be of service william! :D

Difference between Li'l Temp and Manix? The main thing is 'character' and 'feel'. The Li'l Temp to me feels very alive for MBC use, but the Manix is virtually 'dead' in the hand. It's a feel thing. Also the Li'l Temp is more fun to own because of the unique design, looks and feels much more like a custom knife than the Manix.

I think the Lil'T has an even stronger "tank-like" feel than the Manix, mainly because of the enormous thickness of the Lil'T, which doesn't really come across in the pictures and the more compact aspect ratio (much shorter knife).

Not all like the ergo's on the Lil'T. Personally I like them very much, but they are different from those on the Manix.

:spyder: Great things come in small packages. :spyder:
I'd rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

I have and love both. The Manix is a beast that could tackle any task, and the lil' temp is just a 3/4 scale version that feels like it could peel a Volkswagen :D

Hard to say. I think both are equally tough and the cutting abilities are quite close. It's a matter of personal prefference eventually. Oh, and the Manix offers more carying options.

Two great knives...I have them both...Two different feels....something about the lil temp...it feels too good in the hands..you just want to fondle and fondle...and then fondle some more but for MBC I'd chose the Manix in a heartbeat...Doc
