I want the Dyad, Jr. for a river knife, and would prefer to clip it to my PFD (life jacket) rather than have it in a zippered pocket, which would vary with the season (it's better to have emergency equipment in the same place all the time, eh?)
I know there are clips for some Spyderco knives -- hard plastic numbers that the knife locks into, which fit the lash tab on a PFD -- but I would not know where to look for one, or whether there actually is one for the Dyad, Jr.
-Any ideas?

Hi Oci-one Kanubi. Welcome to the Spyderco forum.
Mike Sastre makes neck sheaths/PFD sheaths for our knives, but I don't know if he makes one for the Dyad jr. It's not designed for that type of usage.
I personally would go for a larger single bladed knife for the activity you suggest. Delica, Merlin, Rescue jr, or Calypso jr.
All have very easy to access opening holes, (in case of emergency) some heavy duty muscle and a great deal of cutting power, especially when serrated.
But that is just my opinion. Lotsa smart folk around here.

Richard,
I agree with Sal, I think you'd be better off with something larger for an emergency knife. I have a G10 Harpy (similar blade shape to the Merlin) in one of Mike Sastre's sheaths for my sailing and kayaking knife. The sheath can be worn around the neck or lashed to a PFD and is very quickly deployed. Mike is an experienced white-water kayaker and really knows what he's doing with these sheaths. It was on his advice that I chose the Harpy over the Rescue Jr.

Don't worry that the world might end tomorrow, in Australia it's tomorrow already.
