Shipping times on some upcoming knives (HELP!!)

#1

Post by 1stknightswords »

Hello all,

I'm new to this forum! Someone told me that it is possible to have people at Spyderco answer questions here. With this in mind, I am interested in knowing when the following knives will become available:

C08CFP Harpy, Carbon Fiber Handle, Plain
C08CFS Harpy, Carbon Fiber Handle, Serrated
C11PBLE Delica, Navy Blue Handle, Plain
C52PBRG Calypso Jr., Burgundy Handle, Plain
C92EVP Evrina, Man Made Ivory Handle, Plain
C93P Navigator 2, Stainless Steel Handle, Plain
C93S Navigator 2, Stainless Steel Handle, Serrated
FB11 Kumo Fixed Blade, Cord/Black Stingray Skin, Sheath

Thanks for any information

:) :spyder: :)

My friend,

The information you seek may not exist right this second. Spyderco does a remarkable job in crafting the best possible bladeware, but delivery times are frequently not as planned due to Spyderco's committment to releasing only the only best possible products; they will delay shipping until everything is exactly right.

I realize this doesn't help much. :D

I keep hearing late May early June for the Szabofly and the sprint runs of the Harpy, etc. Hopefully someone from Spyderco will chime in and help us all out.

Approximate Dates

#4

Post by TazKristi »

Hello all! First, let me start with the information below is approximate. As Dr. Lecter stated (thank you Hannibal for the kind words) we won't rush to release anything before it's ready. As info becomes available we will do our best to keep you updated.

C08CF - Carbon Fiber Harpy (Plain & Spyder) - October
C11PBLE - Navy Blue FRN Delica w/ZDP-189 - August/September
C52PBRG - Burgundy FRN Calypso Jr. w/ZDP-189 - July
C92EVP - Evrina Kopa - July / August
C93 Navigator (Plain & Spyder) - August
FB11 - Kumo - August/September
B03P - Szabofly - Late Summer

Not to be redundant, but PLEASE remember these dates are approximate and are subject to change.

Thank you for your inquiry and your support of Spyderco!
There is nothing more important than this one day.

This is a perfect example of why they don't like to release ship dates for anything.

Thank you everyone for the replies! It would be really great if there was a section for upcoming pieces and updated release dates. I have several customers who are interested in when these items come out and can't give them any information. It is also hard to determine how to plan for purchasing upcoming pieces!

Comm'on guys. I am eagerly awaiting the Burgundy Caly, too, but just take a look at the loooooong list of new releases this year and cut Spyderco some slack. Actually, if they actually make the July/Aug time frame, that is still pretty darn good, me thinks.

Thank you, Tazkristi, for keeping us updated. If I am not mistaken, the R2 should be shipping very soon? Are you, by any chance at liberty to say whether the Ed Schempp fixed blade is still scheduled to ship this year?

That is unfortunate but if it needs to be it needs to be ;)

I had been waiting all month to put in my next NGK order for the Delica. Guess I should just order the others now :D :D

Thank you for the info TazKristi.

I'm just a little surprised because I think I remember reading that the ZDP Delica would be on time, that's all... far from me the idea to blame Spyderco, and anyway it's not like I have money left this month...

If they are going to miss sprint run dates by months and months.....I'd rather they just not release the dates.

That totally sucks.

It might help keep things in perspective if we remember that the Seki made Spydercos are not all manufactured in one huge factory, capable of churning out an almost unlimited supply of knives. They are made by a number of relatively small shops, some of which are so small that the illness of a single employee can adversely impact production.
